Description

C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a pentameric serum protein belonging to the pentraxin family that is comprised of five identical ~ 23kDa subunits. It is a positive acute phase reactant, the levels of which increase modestly in rdogs (1.5-2 fold) in response to inflammation, tissue injury or disease. CRP is purified using multiple affinity chromotagraphy steps. Canine (Dog) C-Reactive Protein CRP research: Research suggests that elevations in the levels of acute-phase proteins occur in both acute and chronic canine ehrlichiosis
